Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Data Scientist to contribute to the development of Data Science solutions for the Information and Data Sciences Division of the Leidos Innovations Center.
This position will support multiple programs and projects focus on AI/ML Resilient Systems Quantum communications and Cybersecurity solutions.
Primary Responsibilities.
- Develop innovative solutions to challenging problems of interest to the Defense Applied Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
- Implement sophisticated feature extraction techniques from complex high-dimensional datasets.
- Perform data curation; understand and prepare data for necessary research efforts.
- Contribute to the generation of competitively sourced proposals for contract R&D projects
- Produce and communicate reports and presentations that summarize technical results to technical and non-technical audiences
- Stay up to date with current state-of-the-art data science methods and work with team to employ these methods within current and future R&D projects.
Basic Qualifications.
- BS degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with research and hands-on development of data science solutions for cyber and other domains.
- Proficient in MySQL Python. GitLab Pandas
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks and lead technical efforts.
- Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats adversarial tactics and offensive and defensive cyber advancements.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to coworkers teammates and customers.
- Basic knowledge and experience with AI/ML engineering including code implementation optimization and AI/ML tooling
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment utilizing agile methodologies
- Must be U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Proficient in Kali Nmap Wireshark Metasploit
- Experience performing research for the DoD or IC
- Experience with one or more of the following source code analysis red teaming blue teaming reverse engineering advanced networking cyber deception
- Experience with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence algorithms and libraries applied to Cyber problems
- Proven track record of conference and journal publications
- Active Secret Clearance

Pay Range $104650.00 - $189175.00
