About the Role

Caterpillars Leadership and Technical Development Program (LTDP) for Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is a three-year rotational program designed to accelerate development of entry-level talent and provide a solid foundation for meeting EHS challenges within operations and part of the LTDP team offers you a broad exposure to Caterpillar presents diverse project responsibilities engages you in a global team provides cross-functional job experiences and includes valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar leadership. This program provides the opportunity to build foundational technical and leadership skills for future success within the organization.

What You Will Do

Professionals within the program will complete three 12-month rotations which are defined based on business must be willing to travel and relocate to any participating facility in North America upon hire and throughout each rotation while in the program. Youll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have experiences including (but not limited to):

  • Facility EHS: Responsible for the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) strategy while also completing specific EHS assignments in support of the facility performance and compliance.

  • Corporate/Enterprise EHS: Responsible for enterprise safety driven strategy initiatives.

  • Front Line Leadership: Responsible for overseeing production or logistics activities supervising daily worker tasks coordinating between teams ensuring safety and monitoring performance.

  • Ensure all team members contributions are recognized and valued

Degree Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an accredited Bachelors or Masters degree inEnvironmental Health & Safety Safety ManagementOccupational Safety Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Health Environmental Science Environmental Engineering Sustainability or other relevantEHS Degrees at the time of applying. Selected candidates must obtain their degree before they start.

  • 2026 start dates will be a mutually agreeable Monday in either January or June.

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.8/4.0 (no rounding) at current institution

  • Must be willing to travel and relocate domestically

Top Candidates will also possess:

  • Previous relevant work experience or internship in EHS manufacturing supply chain or operations industry

  • Leadership involvement on campus community service and/or extracurricular activities

  • An interest in leading and developing others

  • Strong teamwork interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental health & safety principles

Summary Pay Range:

$79800.00 - $119760.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
