Manager Gas Operations

Your role in our success:
Manages and oversees all activities to include engineering inventory and maintenance responsibilities for the safe efficient economical management of gas operations for their respective divisions.
What youll be working on:
- Provides direction and coordination of gas distribution operations and maintenance functions for a large geographic region.
- Direct supervision of management of service installation and maintenance measurement system operations warehouse departments. Ensures compliance with all Federal State and local codes and regulations.
- Works proactively to promote the companys growth objectives; Participate in the development and implementation of strategic planning to assure that business objectives and goals are accomplished
- Oversees and administers the O&M Manual Procedures Manual Operator Qualification Plan Hurricane Plan Emergency Manual etc. and assist with necessary revisions.
- Provide an oversight of specification of material tools and equipment used by all gas divisions to ensure standardization. Negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Responsible for creation and adherence to operations budget for the division;
- Assists HR and Director of Operations with all union matters including negotiations of respective Union Agreements.
- Responsible for all management duties including hiring coaching promotion discipline termination training and development.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Director Gas Operations
Who you are:
- 7 years of progressive natural gas operations experience including managing teams at all levels both union and non-union; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Must be able to make safe and timely decisions and direct others
- Motivates and directs in a manner to achieve and support the companys core values and the vision of the Gas Operations unit
- Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Word Excel Windows
- Strong analytical skills
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including emergency response and On-Call responsibilities on a regular basis
- Be proficient with computer database and spreadsheet applications
- Must have a valid Florida Drivers license
