Overview
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB.
With general supervision from the Learning Zone Director plan prepare and conduct all educational and recreational activities for the class assigned on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Assist the Lead Teacher of the class including implementing the education and recreational programs of the class.
- Under direction and guidance from the head teacher work with individual students or small groups.
- Aid other teachers and staff in group activities of early morning or late afternoon hours.
- Attend to the physical needs of the children being alert to any symptoms of illness as well as careful prevention of accident causing situations.
- Immediately report any accident involving either a child or a staff member. The report is to be in writing as required by The Salvation Army and The State of Ohio.
- Attend all Learning Zone staff meetings.
- Any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Learning Zone Director or Area Coordinator.
- Upholds and represents The Salvation Army in the highest esteem possible.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Must be pursuing a degree in ECE ECD or other related field of study.
- A strong Salvation Army background is preferred but not required.
SPECIAL SKILLS CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS.
As deemed necessary by the ODJFS for state licensing purposes.
