The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services is currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Software Architect/Engineer to join the NetForce Synthetic Environment team as part of the Training Systems - Battlespace Simulation Management organization in Hazelwood MO.
As the Lead Software Architect/Engineer you will act as a technical SME developing software architecture for NetForces core products. You will lead on planning designing developing integration and maintaining NetForces core products to meet program objectives. You will provide technical leadership for the entire tech stack of solutions needs for programs. You will lead software research and development projects ensuring its feasibility in the next gen products and services and advise program customers on software-level architecture and establish and maintain frequent and open communications with agile teams
BSM is responsible for the design development manufacture and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft - everything from F-15 fighter jets to Apache attack helicopters and even NASAs Starliner spacecraft. Software engineers on our team are responsible for all phases of the software lifecycle including architecture design implementation and test. They are also directly involved in planning their own work as part of the agile methodology with a focus on technical excellence.
The BSM team is a large software development team comprised of several smaller agile teams some with specialized skills. Our backlog includes everything from new feature development using cutting-edge technology to maintenance of legacy software baselines. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in an often fast-paced environment. As an experienced member of the team you will be supporting the entire product development life cycle within BSM.
