The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for leading and elevating our quality programs across a lean multinational organization serving the chemical petrochemical oil & gas pharmaceutical and defense sectors. Headquartered in the United States with operations in Canada and Mexico and aligning with the parent company headquartered in Japan. The QA Manager supports the Corporate QHSE Manager in securing compliance with company standards governmental related regulations and industry related standards by monitoring QA performance maintaining and improving the management system and supporting continuous improvement in Yokogawas business processes.

This pivotal role will oversee the development implementation and continuous improvement of our corporate quality management systems ensuring compliance with international standards and customer requirements. The QA Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational excellence maintain regulatory compliance and foster a culture of quality throughout the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic direction support global integration efforts and lead quality initiatives that impact mission-critical industries.

DUTIES/RESULTS

Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead the development and execution of the companys quality strategy in alignment with corporate goals.

  • Collaborate with Engineering Manufacturing Supply Chain Regulatory and Customer Service to ensure quality is embedded across all functions.

  • Serve as the voice of quality in executive leadership meetings.

Organization Quality Management

  • Owns and maintains the internal audit program ensuring effective planning execution and follow-up activities.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA CSA UL ATEX IECEx ANSI OSHA etc.) across all jurisdictions (USA Canada Mexico).

  • Administers and supports the corrective action system to ensure compliance and continual improvement.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop and maintain a supplier quality assurance program including audits scorecards and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with Procurement and Engineering.

Data-Driven Quality Management

  • Implement and manage quality data systems (e.g. QMS software ERP integration).

  • Analyze trends in non-conformances customer complaints and audit findings to drive systemic improvements.

Lean & Continuous Improvement

  • Leads customer feedback activities to ensure issues are captured addressed and used for improvement.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events and root cause analysis workshops.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Foster a high-performing quality team across multiple sites.

  • Mentor and develop quality personnel fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification: Bachelors degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience; Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Assurance or related discipline; Requires 3-5 years of demonstrated management experience; Experience with ISO 9001 ISO 17025 and industry-specific standards; Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred

Strong leadership communication and project management skills

Travel: Occasional travel across North America and Asia for supplier audits customer visits and internal site support

Other: Possess excellent verbal and written skills with emphasis on collaboration; Exhibits a high level of skills relating to planning controlling and organizing; Ability to delegate motivate and exercise independent judgement in a managerial/leadership role.
