Symmetry is the payroll infrastructure for software & payroll platforms powering the paychecks of over 64 million workers each year. About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in full stack development and demonstrate proficiency with AWS services Spring/Java and ReactJS. A primary emphasis of this role is placed on new product development and ensuring the proper functionality and quality of our software products. Additionally the successful candidate will showcase a passion for code coverage/unit testing and strong documentation skills to ensure clear communication within the team. About the Team:
Our team consists of 30 engineers each bringing their own skills and experiences to the table. With a few engineers handling each product we work closely together to drive success and achieve our goals. Our team is diverse in every sense of the word with members ranging from those with 2 years of experience to seasoned professionals with over 20 years in the industry. Heres what youll do day-to-day:
- Work at various parts of the stack (client side server side and cloud services)
- Collaborate with our product management and design teams to understand customer pain points come up with solutions and then prototype iterate and launch daily
- Build a product that our customers genuinely love
Heres what were looking for:
- 3-5 years of full stack experience
- Experience with React or Angular
- Experience to backend development in Java - Spring boot
- Experience working with AWS components and services
- SQL and fundamentals of relational database design (MySQL MariaDB PostgreSQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
- Strong work ethic supported by solid time-management skills
- Passionate about creating memorable experiences for customers
- Interest in complex product development problems
- Appreciation for a collaborative test-driven environment
- Experience turning wireframes and mockups into elegantly executed code
- Well-structured easily maintainable well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $130000/yr to $163000/yr in Scottsdale & most major metro locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Symmetry has a physical office space in who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role).
When approved to work from a location other than the office a secure reliable and consistent internet connection is required.
