Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Nuclear Medicine Assistant to join Pima Heart and Vascular in the Tucson AZ.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares stress rooms for procedures
- Interviews patients measures vital signs such as pulse rate temperature blood pressure weight and height and records information in patients charts
- Position patients and equipment
- Cleans and disinfects instruments
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) treadmill and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test
- Schedule patients for tests
- Gives injections or treatments
- Screens telephone calls/emails
- Preps and perform Treadmill stress tests for patients
- Monitors NUC/PET schedules to maintain full schedules
- Start IVs and run nuclear cameras
- Travel is required between clinics
- Other related duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program is required
- Knowledge in medical terminology
- Cardiac Experience is preferred but not required
