The Opportunity

Mawer Investment Management is seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Specialist to join our team reporting to the Head of Private Wealth Marketing. This role is perfect for a hands-on marketing professional who excels at creating compelling content managing projects from concept to completion and driving engagement through strategic communications.

Role Responsibilities

Content Creation & Communications (60% of the role)

  • Write and develop high-quality content including client communications thought leadership pieces website copy email campaigns presentations and social media content as well as edit and proofread subject matter expert content
  • Execute our private wealth e-newsletter including content creation design coordination distribution and performance tracking
  • Collaborate on content strategy and management for our Insights articles including content planning content creation and publication workflows
  • Craft compelling messaging that resonates with high-net-worth clients
  • Create marketing materials such as case studies and educational content that simplifies complex investment concepts
  • Develop and maintain brand voice consistency across all communications

Planning & Project Management (30% of role)

  • Create various high-quality marketing plans aligned with the brand and our marketing strategy
  • Lead end-to-end execution of marketing projects from initial brief through final delivery
  • Coordinate with internal teams external vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely on-brand project completion
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Track project timelines and deliverables using project management best practices

Strategic Marketing Support (10% of role)

  • Identify and research content opportunities and market positioning
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and content engagement to optimize future initiatives
  • Provide occasional assistance with sponsorship activations events and promotional campaigns
  • Maintain strong internal communication to ensure alignment on messaging and campaign or project objectives

Desired Qualifications

  • 5 years of marketing experience with demonstrated content creation and project management skills
  • Financial services or investment industry experience preferred ideally in investment management or private wealth
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities - you can make complex topics accessible and engaging
  • Content management and scheduling experience - comfortable managing editorial calendars content workflows and regular publication schedules
  • University or college degree in marketing communications journalism business or related field
  • Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in content management systems email marketing platforms (e.g. Pardot) and Microsoft Office
  • Basic design skills (Canva Adobe Suite) for content formatting and simple graphics
