Business Administration Apprenticeship - Salford Priors CofE Academy

    Overview of role:


    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in school administration with a particular interest in communications and media. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting the school through engaging newsletters website updates and social media content while also gaining experience in a broad range of administrative tasks.


    Key details:



    • Hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 4pm)
    • Wage:7.55 per hour(Rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months)
    • Location: School Rd Salford Priors Evesham WR11 8XD
    • Qualification: Business Administrator Level 3 (equivalent to A Level)
    • Duration of course:18 months
    • Training Provider:LMP Education (Rated No 1 Training Provider in the UK!)
    • All learning delivered online/remotely alongside role


    Full Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Provide a welcoming reception service for the school acting as the first point of contact for pupils parents and visitors. Deal with enquiries as they arise ensuring that the schools security and safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times.
    • Make and receive internal and external telephone calls filtering and directing as necessary. Take accurate messages and deliver them to the appropriate recipient in a timely manner.
    • Arrange appointments and meetings on behalf of the leadership team as directed liaising with parents professionals and outside agencies.
    • Ensure the office and reception area are tidy and presentable on a daily basis.
    • Maintain lost property ensuring items are checked for names and stored neatly.
    • Provide refreshments for visitors as required.
    • Ensure daily post is received opened (where directed) date-stamped and distributed to appropriate staff. Deal with enquiries and respond to standard correspondence as delegated.
    • Compile and type letters to parents photocopy and distribute them to classes.
    • Undertake general administrative tasks such as filing photocopying laminating and emailing information as directed.
    • Monitor admin stationery supplies including photocopying paper and notify when stock needs replenishing in a timely manner.
    • Assist staff with photocopier use produce copy usage reports for the supplier when requested and report any faults promptlyensuring follow-up. Maintain a sufficient stock of toner cartridges.


    Skills & Personal Qualities:


    • Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and data management systems (e.g. SIMS Arbor etc.).
    • Ability to analyse and interpret data accurately identifying trends and patterns.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.


    Qualifications Requirements:


    • GCSE or equivalent (Functional Skills) English (Grade 4) essential
    • GCSE or equivalent (Functional Skills) Maths (Grade 4) essential
