Job Description
Split locations between Lakeside and Westside Elementaries
Qualifications:
Ability to read write and speak English.
Minimum 48 hours of college credit associate degree or completion of the Para Pro Exam.
Interest in and respect for a variety of cultures.
Must be able to work effectively with several teachers and students at different grade levels and at various content areas.
Functions and Responsibilities
Assist teacher with providing Art instruction to elementary students.
Assist teacher in establishing a positive learning environment based on the individual needs of students.
Assist teacher with organization and preparation of materials.
React to change proactively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Support the philosophy and mission of USD 250.
Communicates effectively with all members of the school district and community.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Environmentatl Conditions
Requires frequent standing walking and handling.
Requires occasional sitting crouching crawling balancing feeling stooping and stairs.
Must be able to lift carry and push/pull 20-50 pounds.
