To qualify for this position applicants must demonstrate ALL of the following KSAs:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration adolescent development and behavior dynamics of juvenile delinquency group norms family dysfunction juvenile court program juvenile laws regulations and guidelines which govern the program.
Experience facilitating and managing liaison activities between human services agencies community groups and school.
Experience managing and administering a comprehensive program of juvenile court counseling services of significant size and complexity.
Experience developing and coordinating program services and resources within diverse county systems.
Experience managing and directing multiple Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils and facilitating the development and sharing of community resources.
Experience directing the work of professional subordinate supervisors and employees developing and implementing new programs and evaluating their effectiveness applying and interpreting a wide range of laws and regulations related to juvenile services.
Experience establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with community agencies and county government.

Masters degree in a human service field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in counseling or working with the juvenile/family client population and/or related human service case management experience including one year in a supervisory or administrative role;

Per NC General Statute 143B-1209.54 applicants hired into a position certified as a criminal justice officer or justice officer are required to electronically submit fingerprints to the NC State Bureau of Investigation for a state and national criminal history record check and enrollment in the FBIs Next Generation Identification System: Criminal Justice Record of Arrest and Prosecution Background Service (RAP Back).
