Clever is looking for a Senior People Business Partner to join our People Team. Clevers People team is dedicated to fostering an equitable organization where everyone can grow and thrive. As a Senior People Business Partner youll be responsible for high leverage strategic support of our Engineering Product and Customer Support orgs as well as for managing company wide benefits compliance and leave management. You will be a key member of a high performing collaborative team driving critical programs for our employees and serving as a valued partner to leaders.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Strategic Business Partner to Engineering Product and Customer Support orgs:
- Meet regularly with leaders/managers and attend team leadership meetings building trusting relationships.
- Support department leaders with organizational design and talent management.
- Coach managers on performance management conflict resolution and employee engagement.
- Manage employee relations for assigned orgs.
- Lead development sessions for managers and ICs in partnership with the Head of Talent Development and Employee Experience and the Director of People.
- Use data to uncover trends and recommend improvements.
- Lead talent reviews calibrations and compensation planning for assigned orgs.
Company-wide People Operations Leadership:
Benefits
- Oversee day-to-day benefits operations including:
- Liaising with benefits brokers enrollment platforms and carriers.
- Addressing employee questions and resolving issues.
- Reviewing benefits options with new hires and guiding them through the enrollment process.
- Maintaining and updating internal knowledge pages about benefits and perks.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of People on annual benefits renewal strategy.
- Lead the annual open enrollment process including creating enrollment profiles in ADP running completion reports and managing employee education campaigns and communications.
Compliance Management
- Manage the compliance calendar for multistate requirements ensuring timely completion of all reporting such as EEO-1 nondiscrimination testing ACA reporting etc.
- Design and refine company employee policies and employee handbook; ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Support the Finance and Legal team with audits and other compliance-related projects.
HR Operations
- Drive process improvement across the People Operations function.
- Collaborate as needed with the finance team on payroll unemployment claims and leave management.
- In conjunction with third party vendor oversee leave programs and associated documentation (parental medical sabbatical).
- Develop dashboards and other data analysis tools to support the Director of People with OKR tracking and business reviews.
- Evaluate new tools and offerings integrations and enterprise-wide solutions.
- Support the Director of People with compensation planning and employee relations or other special projects.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources/People Operations with specific expertise in benefits as well as strategic business partner roles
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to balance being in the weeds on operational projects and working on high-impact strategic initiatives
- Comfort with HR metrics analysis and dashboards
- Bias towards execution while ensuring a clear understanding of context
- Deep sense of empathy and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse groups
- Experience in employee relations
- Experience with compensation is a plus

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States besides NYC and San Francisco CA is between $127500 - $150000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco CA is between $140300 - $165000. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
