The Compliance Coordinatorplays a vital role in maintaining and ensuring regulatory and internal compliance across Knobelsdorffs workforce and vendor network. This individual will oversee apprentice and electrician licensing verification and renewal processes as well as manage compliance requirements for vendors and subcontractors. This role demands strong organizational skills an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple systems and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Licensing & Registration Compliance
- Manage the registration and renewal process for electrical apprentices in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Track and process journeyman license renewals; ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
- Coordinate journeyman license reciprocation across states ensuring proper documentation is submitted and maintained for cross-jurisdictional work eligibility.
- Coordinate state contractor license registration and renewal keeping all licenses current and valid.
- Maintain accurate records of all licensing statuses renewal dates reciprocation approvals and associated documentation.
- Serve as the point of contact with state boards licensing authorities and internal field personnel.
- Develop and distribute compliance status reports to project managers and leadership.
- Assist in developing and improving compliance-related workflows and internal controls.
- Respond to compliance-related inquiries and provide support during audits or inspections.
- Develop and maintain compliance tracking tools and dashboards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration Compliance or related field preferred.
- 2 years of administrative or compliance experience; industry experience in construction or electrical contracting highly desirable.
- Familiarity with state licensing boards and contractor/journeyman license requirements including reciprocation processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance tracking systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with construction management software or licensing databases.
- Knowledge of trade apprenticeship programs state reciprocation agreements and regulatory standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across departments and with external vendors.

- Must be able to sit stand kneel stoop walk and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
