Description

Senior Financial Analyst SEC Reporting

Relationship & Scope:

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Manager Financial Reporting and is a pivotal team member of the unit responsible for preparation of quarterly SEC filings and consolidated financial reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts divisional leadership and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of all 10-Q/K SEC filings including financial statements footnotes disclosures and supporting documentation
  • Be accountable for various analytical and reporting responsibilities that include the ability to work within finance and other departments
  • Recognize research and resolve SEC reporting and general accounting issues
  • Analyze technical accounting topics and propose conclusions
  • Assist in XBRL reporting for all SEC filings which includes researching tags and staying up to date with taxonomy updates
  • Assist with the implementation of FASB projects and standards


Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required with Big 4 experience preferred
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills with an ability to learn accounting software
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
  • Mindset for process improvement and efficiency
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
