Job Description
Role Summary:We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in managing legacy datasets executing data cleansing tasks and conducting query performance reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering principles and experience with both modern and legacy data systems.
Shift timings Starting around 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm IST
Experience 5- 8 years.
Responsibilities:
Legacy Data Management:
Extract transform(cleaning and validation) and load (ETL) data from legacy systems via python into modern data platforms.
Develop and maintain processes for data ingestion and integration from various legacy sources.
Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools
Data Cleansing:
Identify analyze and rectify data quality issues within legacy datasets.
Implement data cleansing techniques and best practices to enhance data accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data quality metrics and standards.
Candidate from insurance or underwriting
Performance Review:
Conduct performance reviews of SQL queries and data processing jobs to identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to improve query performance and reduce processing times.
Prerequisites:
Qualification degree in computer science Information Technology Data Science or a related field.
o4 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role with a focus on legacy datasets.
oProficiency in SQL and experience with query optimization techniques.
oExperience with data cleansing tools and methodologies.
oGood interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
