Job title: Commercial Account Handler

Salary:45000

Location: Essex

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes is assisting a well-regarded insurance brokerage in the search for a Commercial Account Handler. This is a key position focused on servicing an established client book strengthening client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the commercial portfolio. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service while identifying opportunities to enhance client value and retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing current book of clients
  • Maximising relationships and client contact
  • Handling new business enquiries
  • Managing claims MTAs and general client/insurer admin
  • Maintaining existing and creating new Insurer relationships
  • Trading and negotiating to secure the best terms for clients

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Engage with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure efficient handling of client requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers to secure favorable terms for clients
  • Proactively identify opportunities for business growth and development
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulations to provide informed advice to clients

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and services
  • Track record of effectively managing client relationships and driving business growth
  • Experience in negotiating and securing favorable terms with insurers

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities
  • Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
