Carlow University is now accepting applications for our Associate Professor and Chair Graduate Nursing Department position. This full-time tenure-track academic leadership role carries a faculty appointment with rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Chair serves as the academic and administrative leader of the department providing oversight for all graduate nursing programs including the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and post-masters certificate offerings. Essential Functions: Academic Leadership and Administration Provide visionary leadership for the departments academic programs faculty and students. Lead curriculum development implementation and continuous program improvement aligned with CCNE accreditation standards and current best practices. Ensure compliance with university policies accreditation requirements and state regulations for advanced practice nursing education. Facilitate faculty recruitment appointment development mentorship and evaluation. Promote a culture of academic excellence integrity and collegiality. Program Development and Quality Improvement Collaborate with university and clinical partners to advance program innovation and ensure alignment with workforce needs. Monitor and assess program outcomes including certification pass rates graduation rates and employment data. Lead departmental efforts in strategic planning enrollment management and resource allocation. Teaching and Scholarship Maintain an active program of teaching scholarship and service consistent with the expectations of a tenure-track faculty member. Support and mentor faculty and students in scholarly and research activities. Promote a scholarly environment that fosters innovation evidence-based practice and interprofessional collaboration. Community and Clinical Partnerships Strengthen and expand academic-practice partnerships to support student clinical placements and faculty practice opportunities. Represent the department to internal and external stakeholders including professional organizations accrediting bodies and healthcare partners. Minimum Education & Related Experience Required: Doctorate in Nursing or related field and an MS in Nursing 5 years teaching at the graduate level nursing. Progressive academic leadership experience Required Licenses/Certifications: Eligible for RN licensure in PA; APRN certification preferred.
