Job Title: Contents Technician
Location: Bakersfield CA
Pay Rate: $17.75 $18.75/hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary:
We are hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Contents Technician to join a restoration team in Bakersfield CA. This position plays a vital role in inventorying packing cleaning and storing personal property following water fire or smoke damage. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping customers during stressful times.

Performance Objectives:
Conduct inventory and documentation of damaged contents at customer sites.
Pack transport and unpack items with care to prevent further damage.
Clean deodorize and restore salvageable items using industry-standard equipment.
Assist with on-site and off-site cleaning of structures and contents.
Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely progress.
Maintain accurate tracking of contents in internal systems and storage units.
Provide excellent customer service while representing the restoration team with professionalism.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during restoration work.
Key Competencies:
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to lift move and pack heavy objects safely and efficiently.
Empathy and professionalism in customer-facing situations.
Comfortable working in environments affected by smoke water and debris.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
1 year of experience in general labor restoration moving or warehouse roles preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working in customer homes or commercial settings is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand lift bend and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
Comfortable working in varied indoor environments including those affected by damage.
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime when needed.
