The analyst will be responsible for design and release Chassis Electronics Modules Brake & Steering System Controls software / component for multiple vehicle platforms. Responsibilities include program & supplier management open issue tracking with proactive issue resolution delivery to all vehicle program milestones and all aspects of cradle to grave release activity (author specifications sourcing documents engineering change notices requirements clarification and cross-functional team alignment generate program development timelines lead component packaging activities component/system HW/SW validation plans develop ECU diagnostics conduct HW/SW design reviews author/review/approve FMEAs & DVPRs PFMEA reviews process standards in-plant calibrations launch support safe-launch plan development identify quality improvements rapid response to warranty technical cost reductions etc). Responsible for risk identification and maintaining detailed risk assessment mitigation and management plans with frequent updates to senior leadership.
Work closely with Chassis team and cross-functional teams to execute and validate complex chassis control systems such as: ADAS Powertrain Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) etc.
Prerequisites:
Bachelors Engineering degree in Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics Automotive or equivalent.
Desired at least 1 year of Engineering experience.
Must be able and willing to drive and test vehicles.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment; requires minimal direction.
Logical thinker who can systemically sort through complex issues in pursuit of a resolution.
Excellent program management and organizational skills.
Computer proficient (including spreadsheet word processing presentation and database applications).
Advanced level of English language skills.
Proactive and hands-on posture.
Ownership mentality.
Differentials:
Experience with design development and release of automotive ECUs (electronic modules)
Knowledge of component release into EBOM FASTCAR CODEP and PLM.
DFSS certified or in process to be certified.
Troubleshooting tools in root cause and DFSS techniques (is-is not 5-why DMAIC 8D 5-penny fishbone/fault-tree analysis).
Familiar with CAN/LIN communication protocols
Experience using Vector tools (CANoe CANalyzer CANdela).
Experience using diagnostic tools (DIAnalyzer CDA Diagalyser).
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics concepts and brake systems.
Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical Mechatronics Engineering Spaceship Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in SW development creation of state machines SW specifications and debug.
