Maintenance Officer (ELC)
Permanent Part-Time Opportunity
Tuesdays Wednesdays and Fridays 7.30am to 3.30pm (0.6 FTE)
Field base position requiring travel from Kensington head office to Perth Airport Joondalup and Claremont Early Learning Centres and other Ngala owned properties as required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Maintenance Officer to maintain the safety functionality and presentation of Ngala-owned and occupied buildings grounds and fixtures. This non-trade role is ideal for individuals without formal trade qualifications focusing on general handyman support. Maintenance officers carry out routine maintenance basic repairs and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure properties are safe and well-presented.
DUTIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure Ngala-owned and occupied properties are maintained to the highest standards both safety and presentation.
Strive for continuous improvement in the workplace.
Strive for a safe and clean environment for staff and clients.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be highly organised and have strong communication skills together with the following:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in general maintenance or related field
Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance tools
Ability to lift heavy objects stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Reliable punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
Basic knowledge of computer systems
Effective communication interpersonal and relationship skills.
A positive and friendly attitude and a demonstrated effective team member.
National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months
Current WA Working with Childrens Check
