Job Description

Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) - OSP - Equity Access and Engagement 0.5 FTE Date Needed: 08/25/2025 10 month calendar

GENERAL DUTIES:

Assists the Office School Performance (OSP) Team in implementation of the Hillsboro School District Strategic Plan

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • The ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • The ability to effectively work and communicate with students parents and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
  • The ability to work harmoniously with others
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications including but not limited to email and systems applications
  • The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
  • A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience plus a minimum of one year of leadership experience as a department chairperson team leader intern or instructional leader
  • Knowledge of and experience with effective instruction and assessment
  • The ability to work with multiple grade levels in elementary and/or secondary
  • A valid Oregon drivers license and a vehicle for work related travel
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Support engagement and partnership efforts that support Equity Access and Engagement initiatives for all students and families with a particular focus on Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander and Native American/Alaska Native families.
