Job Description

Distribution Associate (Part-Time 6-Month Assignment)

A Distribution Associate is an employee responsible for fulfilling orders and arranging outgoing packed orders for delivery. Their duties include interpreting sales orders and pulling the correct product performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.

This role primarily focuses on distribution tasks but the successful candidate may have the opportunity to cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Self-motivated and team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Follow company picking/packing procedures and efficiently pull products based on daily orders.

  • Ensure order pick/count accuracy and meet deadlines as directed by supervisors.

  • Report any discrepancies or adjustments to supervisors.

  • Handle inventory with care and attention to detail.

  • Follow good manufacturing and safety practices.

  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and pallet wrappers.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Strong reading and communication skills.

  • Maintain a clean sanitary and safe work area.

  • Perform work under direct supervision and refer complex issues to higher-level staff.

  • Be punctual diligent and prepared to work.

  • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong command of English language with attention to grammar punctuation and spelling.

  • Highly coachable motivated and success-driven.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to multitask effectively.

  • Working knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma GED or equivalent.

  • 1 year of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.

  • Experience in manufacturing or logistics environments is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must be over 21 years of age.

  • Available for on-site work MondayFriday; may include weekends and holidays based on business needs.

  • Willingness to undergo cross-training in various roles.

  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments (hot or cool).

  • Ability to stand bend kneel squat and twist for prolonged periods.

  • Ability to push pull move and/or lift up to 50 lbs and carry it for a minimum distance of 50 feet.

  • Must be able to navigate all areas of the facility.
