The AHP Market Director Field Operations provides supply chain leadership and support with an emphasis on operational improvement and supply expense cost and savings management through building and maintaining relationships with peer department heads and administrative leadership teams. This role represents Supply Chain in various committees and meetings leads conversion efforts and drives accountability for all supply and services spend and resultant financial outcomes with respect to budget forecasting and targets. Accountable for meeting Supply Chain measures of success related to spend inventory. Human Resources and customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
Serves as the primary liaison and contact for the consolidated supply chain functions and has primary responsibility for human resource personnel management outcomes and productivity.
Accountable for financial outcomes and operational effectiveness of the supply chain activities including supplies purchased services and Supply Chain labor expended within assigned market.
Accountable for strategic planning tactical execution and progress reporting for all logistics and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies and purchased services serving the acute and non-acute platforms within the defined market.
Accountable for financial outcomes and operational effectiveness of the supply chain activities including supplies purchased services and Supply Chain labor expended within the market.
Performs regular supply spend and utilization analysis; regularly reviews cost accounting accuracy and remedies inaccuracies; conducts end of period rate adjusted variance analysis of spend to explain positive and negative variances to budget by GL
Drives organization toward committed contract compliance through direct engagement with market and site leadership physicians other Supply Chain verticals and other key stakeholders and actively supports the Clinical Transformation Program
Serves as escalation point of contact within defined market to ensure supply chain services are meeting end user requirements and local facilities are compliant with Supply Chain policies and procedures.
Fosters an environment designed around customer service; develops subordinate team members in customer-focused service delivery; advances a collaborative culture between Supply Chain and Nursing/Ancillary departments.
Develops leading practice policies and procedures in inventory control receiving storage distribution material processing and returns.
Oversees the market vendor management program to ensure vendors are credentialed and approved to be on site.
Leads communication efforts and delivers presentations to hospital administration and/or market leadership regarding all supply chain activities underway to increase efficiencies improve inventory turns and value contract compliance and hospital identified savings initiatives and achievements
Leads efforts to discover cost savings opportunities and devise implementation plans
Attends and leads meetings and committees in absence of senior leaders as needed
Serves as key and essential member of the market leadership team; may require frequent after-hours engagement nights and weekends; 24/7 telephone accessibility is an expectation
Inspects workplace for safety concerns on a regular basis and remedies issues discovered
Maintains ongoing compliance with all regulatory and accreditation criteria
