The N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Division of Aviation a recognized leader in air mobility innovation promotes the economic well-being of North Carolina by developing a safe and robust air transportation system. As the states aviation authority the division manages state and federal airport infrastructure development grant projects in collaboration with local government owners of the states 72 public airports the integration of advanced air mobility and unmanned aircraft systems for business and government use airport professional development aviation business and workforce development and flight services for state agencies.
SUMMARY
The Aviation Compliance Manager Program Analyst I reports to the Deputy Director of the Programs and Planning whose team envisions and plans how to leverage and manage aeronautical innovations across the states public airport system including advanced air mobility unmanned aircraft systems and electrification. The team provides planning environmental and compliance support for the states public use airports and leads aviation business and workforce development initiatives.
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring publicly funded airports and advanced air mobility projects comply with applicable state and federal laws and grant assurances.

Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
