Job Description
This is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for the full finance function and will play a critical part in financial planning board-level reporting risk assessment and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial awareness strategic thinking and hands-on financial expertise within the iGaming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end financial planning cycle including budgeting forecasting and long-term strategy alignment
- Deliver timely data-driven financial reports dashboards and board-level presentations
- Build and present feasibility studies investment proposals and financial models to support new initiatives
- Present budgets forecasts and performance insights to shareholders and senior stakeholders
- Analyse and identify operational inefficiencies commercial risks and areas for value creation
- Use financial modelling and scenario analysis to challenge executive assumptions and drive decision-making
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership aligning finance with product tech and commercial goals
- Lead and influence cross-departmental collaboration to ensure financial visibility across the organisation
- Drive improvements in financial systems processes and structures to support scalability and compliance
- Lead financial due diligence scenario planning and analysis for M&A restructuring or investor discussions
- Educate non-financial stakeholders to embed financial awareness into operational decision-making
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or a Senior Financial Controller ready to transition into a director-level role
- Solid background in iGaming (provider side preferred) is a must.
- Strong understanding of financial planning risk management and strategic financial modelling
- Experience presenting to board-level stakeholders and engaging with shareholders
- Hands-on experience in budget ownership forecasting and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
- High level of proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g. Excel BI tools accounting platforms)
- Commercial mindset with strong attention to operational and strategic detail
- Based in Malta or open to relocation (hybrid working model available)
