This is a fantastic chance to learn from experienced electricians while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. Youll get real-world experience installing repairing and maintaining electrical systems helping customers feel safe warm and supported. Whether youre just leaving school or looking to retrain youll be part of a welcoming team that values your development and future.

Where does this role fit in

Youll be joining our Pobl Repairs & Maintenance Team as a key member of the next generation of skilled professionals. Youll support qualified electricians in carrying out installations maintenance and improvements across our housing stock while attending college or training days to develop your knowledge. Great communication reliability and enthusiasm are just as important as technical skills!

Which apprenticeship is available and what do you need to apply

Electrical (Electrotechnical Installation)
What you need to apply:

  • Aged 16
  • May need to complete an entry assessment
  • One of the following (or equivalent):
    Level 2 in Construction or Building Services
    Welsh Baccalaureate
    3 GCSEs at A*-C including maths English and science/tech

How youll learn:

  • Combination of classroom study and on-the-job training
  • Youll complete practical assessments and theory exams throughout the programme

What are the pay and benefits

  • The salary for this role is 25396.80
  • 40 hour working week full time 4 years apprenticeship.
  • Covering areas from Haverfordwest to Monmouthshire your office base will be Swansea.
  • Monday to Friday working hours with flexibility around college days. Travel will be required.

What to Expect: Apprenticeship Assessment Days

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to our Apprenticeship Assessment Day which will take place on:

  • 31st July Swansea

These engaging in-person events are designed to give you a real insight into life at Pobl and the apprenticeship experience.

During the day youll take part in:

  • A welcome session where youll learn about Pobl our values and what its like to work with us
  • A fun group activity to show us your teamwork and problem solving skills
  • A practical task linked to your chosen trade
  • Time to chat informally with our current apprentices and Trades team.
  • A short individual interview to explore your motivations and values
