Job Description

Warehouse and Forklift Driver Apprenticeship Full time Site Based Burton on Trent DE14 2SY

Join us as our Warehouse and Forklift Driver apprenticeship within our Burton-upon-Trent Palletforce Site. The purpose of this role is to be trained over the period of the apprenticeship to become a fully competent D grade forklift truck operator with experience in all aspects of warehouse and storage.

THE SALARY

Salary is 15704 a year

TRAINING COURSE

Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard AND Forklift Certification

College or Traning Organisation: AXIA SOLUTIONS LIMITED

Duration: 12 months

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

HOURS

40 hours of work per week with 30-minute lunch break e.g. 08:00 - 16:30. Flexibility will be . Exact working days and hours to be confirmed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Carrying out general day to day duties - including but not limited to:

  • Operate warehouse equipment
  • Cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
  • Act in a professional manner at all times in line with the companys core values
  • To follow instruction given by line management
  • To show a good attendance and punctuality
  • To maintain a high level of cleanliness in and around the hub as set out in the schedule of works
  • Strict keeping of records in relation to COSHH and all cleaning schedules
  • To check and report any issues of damage as found to your line manager
  • To aid your line manager in legal compliance related work
  • To conduct all works on your work schedule
  • To ensure that you thoroughly check all site access equipment in line with schedules
  • Ensure that environmental and efficiency performance requirements are followed

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Qualifications. GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 2) essential AND GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 2) essentialA Level 2 in English & Maths

Influence & Persuasion.Excellent communication skills

People & Self Development. You will be highly organised with good attention to detail good at prioritising tasks and great team player. You will have the ability to stay calm under pressure and a methodical and thorough approach to work.
