About the RoleFloors of Distinction is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Flooring Apprentice to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification in Flooring Technology.
The successful applicant will assist experienced tradespeople in:
Installing maintaining and repairing flooring including timber hybrid and laminate products.
Measuring cutting and fitting flooring accurately under supervision.
Preparing and maintaining clean and safe work areas.
Delivering flooring materials to job sites (a valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle are required).
Supporting the team with both on-site and in-showroom tasks.
Following company procedures and adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A strong willingness to learn and develop trade skills.
Reliability punctuality and commitment to completing the apprenticeship program.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic physical fitness and the ability to handle materials and tools safely.
Attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
A positive attitude adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
A valid drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceCompletion of Year 10 or equivalent (or currently undertaking relevant studies).
Genuine interest in flooring carpentry or the broader construction industry.
Previous work experience or a pre-apprenticeship in a trade (advantageous but not essential).
