Smithers BC 35 hours/week $63700$72800/year

At Smithers Community Services Association (SCSA) were looking for a Program Manager to lead our dynamic ELMS team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong people skills a client-first mindset and a deep commitment to supporting immigrant and refugee integration in a rural community setting.


Why This Role

Youll lead a dedicated team supporting newcomers on their immigration journey to Canada through English language classes settlement services and community-building programs. Were not just ticking boxes were building belonging. Smithers is a tight-knit welcoming town with stunning natural beauty known for its mountains skiing hiking fishing and other outdoor activities.


What Youll Do:

  • Lead a passionate team delivering language and settlement services
  • Build partnerships that support newcomer needs
  • Manage budgets funding and reports
  • Support staff and volunteers with care and coaching
  • Champion diversity and inclusion


What You Bring:

  • Strong people skills and a client-first mindset
  • Experience in program or team management (formal or informal we value lived experience too)
  • Interest in newcomer settlement adult learning or community development
  • Ability to lead with heart stay organized and keep big-picture goals in sight
  • A flexible supportive leadership style
