About the Position
In this role and reporting to our Lead Training and Checking Aircrew Officer you will be responsible for the training and checking of Aircrew Officers (ACO) and Medical Transport Specialists (MTS) to ensure they are appropriately qualified trained and prepared to conduct missions safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Based in Belmont this role operates on a hybrid roster of a combination of operational 12hr shifts and administrative shifts Mon-Fri.
This role is also required to perform the duties of an Aircrew Officer on the operational roster when required.
About You
To be considered for these roles you will be a qualified Aircrew Officer with a minimum of 1000 hours experience as an ACO in EMS operations inclusive of a minimum of 200 hours on NVIS and who is well regarded within the industry. In addition you will:
Whist not essential three years SAR/HEMS experience an AROC dangerous goods training leadership training and bronze medallion would be highly regarded.
There is an expectation that successful candidates live within 1 hour of their nominated home base and are willing to travel to other bases across northern NSW from time to time to support the operational requirements of the Service.
