You wake up in the morning and plan your day. As a meter reader you have the freedom of structuring your time around your family and personal commitments. Youll be outdoors (in all weather conditions - rain wind or sun) but that doesnt faze you after all youre keeping fit and healthy.

What you can expect with this role
Youll be conducting meter readings testing taps and assisting with the maintenance of meters. Youll be identifying water issues reporting meter access issues and non-compliant water servicesreviewing meter reports and assisting with customer queries. Your day will also include a lot of walking (walking over 10km per day) so you need to be physically fit comfortable working alone and you need toalwaysput safety first. This includes travel to outer lying areas and other regional towns with generous allowances for overnight stays.
Your skills and experience
If your local to the area hold a WA Driving Licence (Class C) a strong awareness of safety you must be able to walk over 10km a day and you must be comfortable working alone. If this sounds like a great job to you try your hand (and feet) as a meter reader.
