Randolph Public Schools is searching for a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of desktop operating systems routinely thinks outside the box to solve problems quickly and provides excellent customer service. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for ensuring each department achieves key customer service metrics repairing computers and performing technical and system diagnostics as Goal: To provide effective deployment maintenance and support of all business operational components including but not limited to the configuration and deployment of multi-platform devices application of security policies software installation and patch management audio visual equipment and management of networking technologies required to support an educational Responsibilities:1. Responds to all support requests and tickets.2. Maintain detailed inventory maintenance and support statistics.3. Able to troubleshoot and perform break/fix actions on student and staff equipment such as Windows laptops and Chromebooks.4. Assist with providing professional development training for staff when needed.5. Assist in the development of effective/efficient maintenance practices.6. Assist with the deployment and maintenance of all desktop mobile and peripheral technology equipment.7. Maintains all software installations updates and patches.8. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of TechnologyEnvironment and Physical Requirements: to travel between multiple locations and therefore must hold a valid Massachusetts drivers be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds (computer equipment printers mobile carts supplies etc.)Supervision and Evaluation: Candidates should be self-motivated; possessing the ability to assess need and prioritize responsibilities in a professional environment; reporting to and evaluated by the Director of Technology.52 week position; 40 hours per week
