Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at HeartPlace in Plano Tx.
Responsibilities:
- Explains testing procedures to patients and obtains consent form.
- Attaches electrodes to patients arms legs and chest area
- Startstreadmillatspeed directedby physician.
- Startselectrocardiographandrecordsdatasuchasangleandspeedoftreadmill patients indications of pain and measurements of blood pressure.
- Informs the physician of wave abnormalities on electrocardiogram.
- Standsalongsidepatientduringtesttolendsupportifnecessary.
- Removesrecorderstripprintoutfrommachineuponconclusionoftesttoobtain permanent record of test.
- Editsandmountsrepresentativesamplesoftracingsforpatientsrecordindicating time of test measurement and bodily factors that could have affected recording.
- Cleansadjustsandperformsroutinemaintenanceonequipmenttoensureproper functioning.
- Assistsin thetraining ofnew personnel.
- Maintainsaccurateinventoryofmaterialsand supplies.
- Verifiespatientappointmentsthedaybeforetoensureuseof isotope.
- Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing
- Escortspatientstocheck-out.
- Participatesinattaininginsuranceprecertificationfor tests
- Performs all other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Highschool diplomaor equivalent.
- At least one year of practical experience
- CurrentCPR certification.
- Must have reliable transportation.
