Job Description

Our Architects play a key role in planning and designing impactful commercial spaces that reflect each clients vision-on time and within budget. This role collaborates closely with internal teams (business development civil engineering interiors estimating and construction) and external consultants to deliver efficient code-compliant and buildable designs. Architects serve as a bridge between design and construction promoting a positive safe and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead design development from programming through construction documents
-Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to turn visions into functional cost-effective spaces
-Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (MEP structural site specialty)
-Provide on-site support and consult with construction teams during all phases
-Produce accurate constructible code-compliant drawings and specifications
-Participate in job site visits design reviews and field coordination
-Respond to RFIs and resolve construction-related design questions
-Support project close-out and documentation as needed
-Promote Design and Construction through networking and client engagement

Supervisory Responsibilities:

-Oversee and coordinate design staff and consultant teams
-Provide guidance on project planning and design execution
-Consult regularly with field superintendents and construction personnel


Required Skills & Abilities:

-Strong understanding of architectural design principles and tools
-Proficient in Revit and 3D visualization software
-Creative problem solver with strong analytical thinking
-Excellent organizational communication and multitasking skills
-Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure with AXP nearing completion)

Education & Experience:

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
-Architectural license required; candidates close to completing AXP also encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to access and navigate active construction sites in various weather conditions
-Valid drivers license required
-Ability to participate in extended meetings and site visits
-Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
