Senior Associate / Partner Private Client York or Flexible Location Competitive Salary Bonus Hybrid Working
Are you an experienced Private Client solicitor ready to step into a senior leadership role This is a key hire with the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Department and influence the direction and success of the team. Were working with a respected regional law firm seeking a Senior Associate or Partner to join their highly regarded Private Client team. This is a rare opportunity to take on a strategic role in a thriving department while continuing to manage a high-quality caseload.
With a loyal client base and a significant volume of work from repeat business and referrals the team acts for a broad range of clients including high-net-worth individuals and families providing a first-class service across the full spectrum of private client work.
About the Role
Youll manage a varied and often complex caseload while contributing to the strategic development of the department. Youll also have the opportunity to take on mentoring responsibilities and support the teams wider goals. Typical matters include:
Estate and succession planning
Drafting wills and trusts
Non-contentious probate and estate administration
Lasting and enduring powers of attorney
Advising on Inheritance Act claims
Tax planning for high-net-worth clients
What Were Looking For
Substantial Private Client experience (typically 10 years PQE)
Strong technical knowledge and a commercial mindset
Confidence handling complex high-value estates and trusts
Excellent client care and relationship-building skills
A collaborative approach and natural leadership ability
Experience in business development and team mentoring
STEP qualification or similar accreditation is highly desirable
Location & Flexibility
The role can be based in York or another office location in the region with flexibility on remote working. Some initial time at the central office will help you get to know the team and working practices. The firm actively supports work-life balance with flexible hours available.
