Our Opportunity
To support our ongoing growth PROK are currently seeking a Lead Conveyor Engineer specialising in Winches to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Bayswater WA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Product development design definition and delivery
- Provide estimates for enquiries and tenders conforming to the technical requirements and providing departures with technical justification as required.
- Ensure the timely progress of projects through collaboration with the Projects team.
- Ensures that all designs produced meet the appropriate Standards and Regulations through calculations for conveyor systems and utilising FEA analysis and software as required.
- Ensure timely release of documentation including operations parts and maintenance manuals commissioning documentation and SOPs.
- Guide and mentor engineers and team members to achieve the specified scope within budget to acceptable quality and on time.
- Assess short and long term needs for the Winch product group including trends problems and profit opportunities.
- Interact with clients as key technical resource to support design and sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the sales and tendering team in the preparation submission negotiation and management of day-to-day enquiries.
The Right Person
The ideal candidate for this position would have:
- Engineering degree / diploma or related discipline
- 10-years experience in the engineering field of heavy industry
- 5 years experience as Lead or Principal Engineer is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in delivering engineering designs in a complex environment
- Experience in executing engineering design to meet customer and mandated standards
- Customer focused outlook and key relationship development
- Enthusiastic and receptive in interaction with clients
- Experience in providing quality client focus both internally & externally
