Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Liaison to oversee and manage factory relationships and production workflows in China. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between our U.S. team and overseas manufacturers ensuring product quality compliance and on-time delivery.
This role is critical to maintaining production integrity improving vendor communications and resolving issues at the factory level. The position requires regular international travel and a deep understanding of Chinese manufacturing culture and processes.
The Ideal Candidate
Experienced working on-site with Chinese manufacturers and factories
Fluent in Mandarin (preferred) or proficient in working with translators
Comfortable traveling to China for extended stays (13 weeks per trip)
Strong knowledge of manufacturing sourcing and production oversight
Skilled in quality control vendor management and troubleshooting
Flexible diplomatic and culturally aware
Key Responsibilities
Travel to China regularly to inspect production audit factories and resolve issues
Work closely with Chinese vendors to ensure product quality timelines and compliance
Serve as the on-the-ground liaison between the U.S. team and factory partners
Oversee pre-production samples production runs and final inspections
Communicate and document all production updates risks and action items
Evaluate and improve supplier performance and production efficiency
Ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
3 years of experience working directly with Chinese manufacturers or factories
Background in manufacturing sourcing product development or quality control
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Mandarin Chinese fluency is a strong plus
Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
