About the role

The EVP Products Investments and Pricing will be responsible for comprehensive go-to-market product strategy new business pricing in-force management and oversight of our mutual fund company including having primary responsibility to partner with the independent board of directors.

Responsibilities

  • Define our overall group retirement product and service offering to position Corebridge as a provider of choice for employers and their participants in the defined contribution market.
  • Grow our in-plan annuity and managed account offerings by aligning customer needs distributions strategies company objectives and evolving regulatory changes.
  • Lead and optimize our $35B proprietary mutual fund company through close partnership with our fund board diligent oversight of Investment Advisor obligations and actively managing sub-advisor performance.
  • Oversee the RFP and deal management process to enable growth including effectively pricing new business and repricing existing customer relationships across the range of products and services we offer balancing margin and market expectations.
  • Engage with customers and plan advisors to work through complex pricing scenarios as needed and work to achieve buy-in from finance and risk management partners representing firm-wide expectations.
  • Optimize business profitability through proactive review of financial and behavioral risk exposures and evaluation of in-force experience including experience studies and assumption setting.
  • Continuously refine our pricing models to better understand true costs to serve while collaborating with business partners to maximize opportunities in existing relationships.
  • Be an active participant in defining and executing the overall Retirement Services business strategy to compete and grow in our target markets.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for key customer and partner relationships.
  • Manage and nurture talent to ensure the team continues to evolve their skills maintain credentials and has opportunities to grow and increase their impact over time.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in the financial services industry with a strong preference for direct experience in the defined contribution market and deep knowledge of insurance products and services.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience developing and maintaining products and services with a clear understanding of the many considerations ranging from operational implementation technology platforms the regulatory requirements and what customers want and need.
  • Proven understanding of profitability drivers key financial metrics and suite of retirement products.
  • A proven track record of attracting developing and motivating highly specialized and senior team members.
  • Strong track record of pricing insurance and record keeping products and services.
  • Knowledge of tools techniques and strategies to quantify qualify and manage financial risk.
  • Established industry relationships across major service providers sub-advisors plan advisors and industry trade groups.
  • A strong understanding of trends and opportunities with fintech retirement service providers and how technology will shape the future of the industry.
  • Proven ability to quickly assimilate information and make informed decisions; logical analytical thinker with great influencing written and verbal communication abilities; ability to handle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.
  • Ideal candidates would also have their series 7 24 63 and 66 or the ability to obtain full licenses within 90 days of hire date.
