The Role:
TheFinancial Review Officer plays a vital role within the organisation providing support and in respect of the financial oversight of payments .The post holder will work closely with Statutory SEN officers LA commissioners and SEND Stage 3 panel members to identify opportunities for fee reduction. They will ensure that fees are checked annually or in line with provision changes which ever is sooner.
This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to a standard criminal record disclosure check.
Working Pattern:
37 Hours per week.
What youll need to succeed:
The post holder will look to monitor and audit all financial aspects in relation to SEND funding ensuring best value is being achieved. This is to include tracking and resolving funding issues and prepare to challenge providers from all different sectors. The postholder will monitor high and medium cost provision to ensure that the provision in place matches the provision that is being commissioned.
The postholder will ensure that transport times and costs are available when decisions regarding provision are being made so that opportunities to increase independence and reduce transport costs are considered.
