Job Description
Chili Digital is a dynamic and data-driven digital marketing agency with operations in Panama Mexico and Brazil. We are seeking a highly experienced and autonomous Financial Controller to take full ownership of the companys financial planning management and operations. This role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable managing all financial functions independently and reporting directly to upper management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire financial operations of the company including budgeting forecasting financial analysis and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the companys growth and profitability goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting including P&L balance sheets cash flow statements and financial forecasts.
- Manage all accounting operations including billing accounts receivable accounts payable general ledger cost accounting and revenue recognition.
- Prepare and present financial reports to upper management providing insights and strategic recommendations.
- Establish and enforce internal financial controls and procedures to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Manage cash flow financial planning and ensure financial stability and liquidity of the company.
- Implement and manage accounting software and tools to streamline financial operations.
- Collaborate with management to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Handle all tax compliance and regulatory requirements for the companys operations in multiple countries.
- Perform financial risk management by analyzing the organizations liabilities and investments.
- Manage external accountants in Panama Mexico and Brazil to ensure compliance with local tax and employment regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role.
- Proven experience managing full financial operations independently without support staff.
- Advanced knowledge of financial principles regulations and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. XERO) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP PIVOT TABLES VBA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
