Job Description
Job Title: Dairy Farming Agriculture Intern
We are in search of an enthusiastic and committed Dairy Farming Agriculture Intern to become a part of our team. As a Dairy Farming Agri Intern you will have the chance to acquire practical experience in diverse aspects of dairy farming which includes animal care feeding milking and farm maintenance. You will collaborate closely with seasoned dairy farmers and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the farm.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the daily care and feeding of dairy cattle
- Participating in and learning the milking process
- Assisting in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the barns and milking parlors
- Supporting farm maintenance activities such as fence repair and equipment maintenance
- Learning about and assisting with breeding and calving processes
- Observing and participating in farm record-keeping and data collection
Requirements
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an agricultural or related program
- Strong interest in dairy farming and animal husbandry
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
