We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales and Telesales Manager to lead our sales operations manage telesales representatives and implement strategies that drive lead conversion and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing both inbound and outbound sales activities designing sales scripts and workflows managing KPIs and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. The role requires a strong grasp of sales processes CRM systems and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets across physical and digital channels.
Design call scripts outreach strategies and conversion funnels tailored to different customer segments.
Lead the telesales team in converting leads into customers through cold calling follow-ups and product education.
Team Management & Training:
Supervise and coach telesales and field sales teams to ensure adherence to best practices and daily performance goals.
Monitor individual and team KPIs (calls made conversion rates sales closed etc.).
Identify skill gaps and organize training programs to upskill staff in consultative selling and CRM usage.
CRM & Data Management:
Manage the CRM system (e.g. HubSpot Zoho or Salesforce) ensuring accurate customer data entry lead tracking and reporting.
Analyze lead behavior and customer feedback to refine sales tactics and messaging.
Generate regular reports and insights for management on sales trends performance metrics and growth opportunities.
Collaboration & Revenue Support:
Work with marketing to align lead generation campaigns with telesales follow-ups.
Coordinate with product and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Education & Experience:
BSc/HND in Business Administration Marketing Communications or a related field.
5 to 8 years of experience in sales with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in telesales B2C or B2B sales preferably within the automotive FMCG or lifestyle industries.
Sales & Tech Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot Zoho or Salesforce).
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel Google Sheets and sales tracking dashboards.
Strong understanding of sales KPIs and team performance metrics.
Customer & Market Orientation:
Strong ability to identify customer needs overcome objections and deliver tailored sales pitches.
Familiarity with Nigerian consumer behavior and regional sales patterns.
Experience managing multi-channel sales campaigns (phone email social retail).
