Overview: To build on a strong foundation of achievement and contribute to the realization of its ambitious institutional goals Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Assessment and Statistics Specialist (CS25-009). What You Will Do: Designs and implements data collection methods analyzing data using statistical and data management software (i.e. Accommodate) interpreting findings and preparing data for presentation of results to stakeholders. Conducts research and compiles and analyzes data for implementation into reports presentations and programming for the department. Uses independent judgment to evaluate individual student level of risk for failure/non-retention prioritizes student needs based upon progress reports and recommends students for interventions by Assistant Director for Transition Retention and Persistence and/or Director. Serves as primary liaison for students in need of ACCESS or BUILD services. Provides options and support based on assessed needs. Advises the Director on feasibility of expenditures. Tracks all annual budgets for ACCESS state local and grant accounts. Assists in the planning of ACCESS and BUILD programming events and activities to further market services provided by both ACCESS and BUILD. Supervises student workers for the unit. The required proof of eligibility includes at a minimum a copy of the veterans DD214/DD215 form (Department of Defense) NGB22 form (National Guard) or Discharge Orders or DD256 Discharge Certificate (Reserves). Work Authorization Information:This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship. International students at SIUE on F-1 or J-1 visas are not eligible for full-time or part-time civil service positions with permanent status. F-1 and J-1 visa holders must be enrolled full-time and can only apply for temporary part-time roles working 20 hours or less per week during spring and fall semesters such as student worker positions assistantships and civil service extra help roles. SIUE is a state university and its important to highlight that benefits from state-sponsored plans may not be accessible to individuals on F1 or J1 visas.
