What
This position oversees daily manufacturing operations ensuring safety quality morale productivity efficiency customer service and overall equipment efficiency (OEE) goals are met through individual and team efforts. This role provides leadership guidance and development to their team fostering collaboration empowerment hands-on learning and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a full time role with a salary range of $82000- $86000.


Main aspects of the role include:

  • Ensures a safe productive and respectful work environment; ensure adherence to safety protocols quality standards company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Oversees day-to-day production operations to achieve sales plan and ensure on-time delivery of customer orders by creating and/or optimizing schedules managing changeovers addressing labor needs. Accountable for raw material deliveries product releases shipments and effectively troubleshooting and elevating issues including room equipment or employee concerns.
  • Partners with site leaders and support departments (Safety HR Quality) to align policies drive continuous improvement and meet business goals.
  • Serves as a technical resource for manufacturing processes by tracking process performance and implementing improvements to enhance throughput and efficiency.
  • Leads projects focused on operations scheduling and team effectiveness to refine production practices and elevate overall performance.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices.
  • Provides daily leadership coaching and support to manufacturing team members including training recruitment and ensuring compliance with OFD policies and procedures.
  • Embodies OFDs cultural values and aligns daily actions with department and company culture.
Environment of this position:
  • Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Noise level in the work environment can be loud
  • Exposure to various food allergens
  • Regular requirement to stand walk climb push pull reach carry and lift and twist
  • Must be able to regularly lift 15 pounds and up to 50 pounds

OFD contains office manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and position requires a person to be able to frequently walk stand and climb; bend and twist; see hear and talk; use hands to type handle or feel tools controls; use hands and arms to reach hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present; and be comfortable at various heights.

You!
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of manufacturing leadership experience with an Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Management or a related field. Experience in food processing or life sciences manufacturing is strongly preferred. A strong understanding of GMP FDA USDA HACCP and OSHA regulations is essential along with proven knowledge of general manufacturing processes and the ability to troubleshoot effectively. The candidate should have experience with root cause analysis tools (such as 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams) and the ability to think strategically beyond their functional role converting strategy into actionable results.


Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required along with the ability to lead motivate and hold teams accountable while maintaining trust and managing business priorities. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment with minimal supervision. Strong computer skills are necessary including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems Redzone Alchemy and Microsoft NAV is a plus. Candidates should also be ready to obtain forklift certification and operate equipment as needed to support production and logistics. Flexibility to work various shifts including nights weekends and overtime is required.
