we are seeking an engineer to work collaboratively with talented cross-functional process engineering team to create a best-in-class automation process. We are crafting intelligent processes to meet the demand of the industry we serve across commercial business space and military & defense aviation.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage small and Major projects or processes within area of responsibility. Works autonomously. May provide input or guidance to lower-level professionals with tasks and assignments.
  • Works to influence parties within and outside of work area at an operational level regarding policies practices and procedures.
  • Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
  • Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
  • Plans the allocation of resources materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control productivity improvement cost reduction inventory control and production record systems.
  • Perform defect and failure analysis and work with Application team to improve board or component designs
  • Lead improvements in process yield quality cycle time inventory accuracy and delivery
  • Report all manufacturing and/or quality problems with parts equipment etc. to the Process support and quality team.
  • Provides technical assistance and training support to floor and technicians.
  • Work with design engineering in developing new products that are optimized for the manufacturing process.
  • Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.

  • Innovation and Technology: Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge surface mount technologies and SMT processes.
  • Project Management: Master the art of developing and managing detailed project plans schedules and budgets and adapts them to meet goals.
  • Process Analysis: Enhance your skills in performing critical process analysis and learn how to create work around to meet customer requirement.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with other engineers project teams and production management.
  • Problem-solving and performance monitoring: Identify product or equipment challenges such as relocating current product on different equipment or modify product for better performance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of the Surface Mount Technology and Circuit Card Assembly understanding typically obtained with experience.
  • Must have deep knowledge of project management.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD - 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
