JOB SUMMARY:
Analyzes and organizes cage and count operations and procedures such as P & L review review of payroll/FTE analysis personnel information management filing systems requisition of supplies and other clerical services.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Asst Cage Operations Manager Count Room Manager Cage Training Supervisor

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maximizes cage and count productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications. Thorough understanding of Credit and collections including issuance of credit.
  • Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow. Establishes uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.
  • Formulates procedures for systematic retention protection retrieval transfer and disposal for records. Plans cage layout develops cage budget and initiates cost reduction programs.
  • Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness accuracy and timeliness. Prepares activities reports for guidance of management.
  • Coordinates activities of various workers within department. Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions and under constant pressure. Must be able to compute mathematical totals quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent guest service skills.
  • Ability to analyze all Cashier/Main Bank transactions.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy of cash and supporting documentation. Ability to train Cashiers/Main Bankers and Count team.
  • Ability to use good judgment in intense situations.
  • Thorough knowledge of Title 31 including reporting and monitors regulatory compliance standards to ensure they are adhered to.
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of the Cage/Count and Credit Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years of experience in progressively responsible positions in Cage/Count and Credit Operations or five to ten years of experience in progressively responsible positions in Cage/Count and Credit Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions and under constant pressure. Must be able to compute mathematical totals quickly and accurately. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent guest service skills. Ability to analyze Cashier/Main Bank transactions. Ability to maintain accuracy of cash and supporting documentation. Ability to train other Cashiers. Ability to use good judgment in intense situations. Must have supervisory and management experience in Cage Count/Drop and Credit.

SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have an outgoing energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Gaming Commission License and the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.

ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL/PROPRIETARY INFORMATION:
Must regularly access patron personal data including credit information the player data base financial records and Cage/Counts personnel/payroll records.

ACCESS TO GAMING FACILITY:
Requires access to general areas of the gaming facility and the cage count rooms and main bank areas.
