The Role

Cash App Investing is looking for a strategic leader to join our team as the Account Operations Team Lead. This role is critical in shaping the direction of our brokerage account operations strategy and team while ensuring scalability compliance and collaboration across the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO of Cash App Investing the Account Operations Team Lead will manage a team of 5-6 brokerage operations specialists and work closely with internal teams external partners and regulators. The ideal candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset exceptional people management capabilities and the ability to execute complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment

You Will

  • Set Strategic Direction: Develop and execute a clear vision for brokerage account operations prioritizing initiatives that align with company objectives
  • Lead by Delegation: Empower and guide team members with effective prioritization and task delegation while maintaining visibility into day-to-day operations
  • Own and Oversee Projects: Take ownership of critical high-impact projects while delegating others and ensuring the successful execution of initiatives across the team.
  • People Management & Development: Mentor coach and manage a team of 56 brokerage operations specialists with varying levels of seniority
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Represent Cash App Investing in discussions with regulators senior leadership and external partners
  • Regulatory Engagement: Lead operational preparations for regulatory examinations and audits ensuring compliance and high procedural standards
  • Operational Optimization: Drive process improvements workflow automation and scalable solutions leveraging emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with compliance engineering product and legal teams to develop and refine operational processes that are scalable and complianta

You Have

  • Licenses: FINRA Series 7 63 and 24 required
  • 7 years of experience in brokerage operations with deep knowledge of account operations within a brokerage firm
  • 5 Years of Leadership experience with a proven track record of managing teams and mentoring employees
  • Key Skills:
    • Experience managing customer onboarding and customer identification programs
    • Experience managing events through a customer lifecycle such as customer profile updates tax documentation and reporting customer account statement delivery account transfers account restrictions escheatment and estate processing
    • Experience managing customer regulatory reporting through the Customer Account Information System
    • Experience managing identity theft and fraud processes
    • Regulatory expertise including experience with regulatory examinations and audits
    • Scalability-focused process design and workflow optimization
    • Strong project and program management skills
    • Ability to collaborate across departments and drive cross-functional initiatives
    • Technical Expertise: While not a requirement experience with API integrations SQL and data analytics is highly favored.
