Assist Truck Driving Faculty truck/trailer time on the road and operations. Assist students in meeting commercial divers licensing examination requirement (Class A with endorsements). Assist students with preparation of CDL road testing.
- Assist Truck Driving Faculty truck/trailer time on the road and in labs. This includes instruction assistance on the driving course.
- Accompany monitor and tutor on-the-road training for program students; arrange for and organize student road trips for actual loading hauling and delivery of goods.
- Assist students with preparation of CDL road testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Salary Range:
$21.57 - $30.13
Minimum Qualifications
- Post-Secondary or industry Certificate in Truck Driving and 1 year of teaching/tutoring experience in Truck Driving at the high school level or above.
OR
- 4 years of work experience in Truck Driving where no degree/certificate/diploma is required
OR
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualification
- Driving and Class A commercial drivers license Valid CDL drivers license and Department of Transportation physical health card.
- This job also may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.
- Knowledge of training techniques in order to make suggestions for change.
- Knowledge of college policies programs and curriculum sufficient to have students comply with and meet guidelines and goals.
- Skills in human relations sufficient to motivate students in the education process.
Work Shift
Monday-Friday (Hours vary depending on the needs of the department Intermittent/Part-time)
