Salary:29500 per annumplus 50 per sleep-in allowance

Location:Wrexham

Contract/Hours:Permanent Full-time 37 hours per week (combination of 9-5 shifts as well as rotad shifts including evening and weekends)

A bit about the role

As a Team Leader Residential youllwill provide anenvironment where the young people we supportwill receive positive experiences ofreliable consistent parenting through providing specific and structuredcarewith very clear consistent boundaries.

You will support the Registered Manager and other Team Leader in the day to day running of the service and deputise in their absence whilst working as part of amulti-disciplinaryteam ensuring that thechildren andyoungpeople wesupport develop to reach their full potential.

At the same time wewill provide specialist learning training andSupervision to speed yourprofessionaldevelopment alongside a competitive rewards package.

About the service

Tan y Dre Residential Services is a 4-bed therapeutic residential home where we provide medium to long term care for young people aged 9-18 years old with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The aim of this role is to support them with their transition in to safe and happy adults.

Our children receive a bespoke intervention tailored to their individual needs supported by a team of staff who are fully committed to understating and meeting the childs needs and reduces the identified barriers.

Our therapeutic model will provide an environment where they will receive positive experiences of reliable consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care with very clear consistent boundaries.

How youll help to create brighter futures

• Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.
• Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
• Preparing for and participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings
• Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
• Leading and assessing staff carrying out supervisions appraisals and risk assessments.

Lets talk about you

If you have experience as a Team Leader Residential and youre passionate about creating brighter futures this could be the perfect role for you.

• A L3 Social Care Diploma is essential and L4 Leadership and Management Qualification is desirable.
• Experience of a senior role in a childrens home residential short breaks or childrens services.
• Experience of supporting staff through QCF AWIF and Induction.
• A sound awareness of the RISCA (Wales) Act 2016 Social Services (Wales) Act 2014 and key H&S Legislation.
• Flexibility to work shifts and participate in the on-call rota.

Good to know

As a non-profit organisation we are committed to the recent update from the Welsh Government in relation toeliminating private profit from the care of children looked after.

80% of care homes in Wales are run by the private aim is to ensure that public money invested in the care of children looked after does not profit individuals or corporate entities but is wholly spent on childrens services to deliver better experiences and outcomes for children and young people supporting service development and improvement and further professional development for staff.

By 2027 they aim to have the care of children who are looked after in Wales to be provided by the public Sector and charitable or non-profile organisations.
